Kerry Wilhelm, the founder of 2nd Wind Cycle, spent over 40 years as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic before retiring from underground mining. Looking for a way to stay active, enjoy the outdoors, and positively impact both the environment and others' well-being, he discovered e-biking. What started as a passion quickly became a mission—to help others experience the freedom, joy, and health benefits of electric biking.
In 2022, Kerry launched 2nd Wind Cycle to provide skilled and affordable e-bike services tailored to each rider’s needs. From custom e-bike builds and service, to dealer sales, and now guided tours and rentals, he now serves Fundy-St. Martins and Sussex, as well as Saint John, Moncton, and Fredericton.
Beyond helping riders find their perfect e-bike, Kerry also leads guided tours along the stunning Fundy Coast, most notably within the Fundy Trail Provincial Park, giving people the chance to experience the world’s highest tides, breathtaking views, and scenic trails in a whole new way. These tours are designed for all skill levels, offering a mix of adventure, fresh air, and local exploration—whether it’s a leisurely coastal ride or a more immersive backroad journey. For Kerry, it’s not just about the ride; it’s about sharing the joy of discovery and the freedom of exploring on two wheels.
The name 2nd Wind Cycle reflects his own journey of renewal; after feeling out of energy, e-biking gave him a fresh start, fresh air, and a whole new way to ride. Now, Kerry is dedicated to helping others rediscover their love for cycling and adventure, one ride at a time.
